Those lookers from Alabama, Lee Bains and The Glory Fires, have released a debut album There Is A Bomb in Gilead, that has me hankering for my daddy’s country fried steak. Fine southern rock.
@eulamusic New Video: “Honor Killer”
Post-punk perfection. Rock your mask off!
Music crush @velahmusic releases new EP, Black Olympia
The four-tracks of Velah’s new EP Black Olympia pack a post-alt punch sprinkled with a little dream pop and punk kicks.
Their singles, “Calm Down,” and “Glass Heart” might well be part of the soundtrack of my life, drawing me in with velvet intro chords, and knowing lyrics that are too close to home.
“Wanderlust” is a little more poppy, with hard-hitting drums and swirling guitars.
“Black Olympia” has a darker sound, reminiscent of a We Were Promised Jetpacks sound.
Check out Velah’s bandcamp, and buy the EP and a cool tshirt. Then everyone will know you’re awesome.
Ambiant electronic dream-pop from bart(ek). Makes me want to lie in the grass and daydream.

A gorgeous setting for this incredible acoustic rooftop show from Conveyor, presented by Gold Flake Paint, Paper Garden Records and Cara Bella, was captured by those pros over at collabo!, who continue to be all kinds of amazing. It charmingly conveys the exceptional intersection of music, friends and blackened meats under a big Brooklyn sky.
Check out yours truly looking like a super dork at 2:06.
