New Music Crush: Yoni Gordon
Super-cool new album of jangly and exuberant indie rock from Yoni Gordon, The Hard Way, which will be released Sept. 18 and available online.
The title track, “The Hard Way” sounds a little Springsteen-y/jackson brown-y. But then “Blood From a Stone” goes all 60s R&B. After that “Ceclia Says” surprises with a little vivacious psychedelic vibe. And then the 60s vibe returns with the sunny “The Big One.”
